What is Project Graduation?

Since 1989

Project Graduation is an all-night, alcohol and drug-free celebration for graduating seniors - a tradition at Governor Livingston since 1989. Project Graduation receives no funding from the school budget. Monies to support this $35,000 yearly event are raised through fundraisers, grants, business, professional, and parent donations and participant contributions. This year Project Graduation will be held at the Ricochet Raquet Club and is sure to be a great evening for all.

Procedures and Rules:

  • Students should report to the GLHS cafeteria for check-in promptly after graduation.

  • Project Graduation is a drug and alcohol-free event.  Anyone found to have drugs or alcohol in their possession or appearing under the influence of such substances will not be allowed to participate in the festivities and their parents/guardians will be called to bring them home.

  • The venue is a no smoking facility.  Cigarettes of any kind are not permitted.

  • All bags and pockets will be checked during the check-in process.

  • All medication (prescription and over-the-counter) will be opened and checked during the check-in process. Only medication that is listed on this permission form will be allowed; all other medication will be confiscated.

  • Please only send the dosage required for the night.

  • All participants are required to ride the buses to and from the venue. Once at the venue, participants are not allowed to leave early, unless there are exceptional circumstances AND arrangements were made in writing (in advance) by parents/guardians.

  • Parents/guardians are responsible for providing transportation home after the buses return the students to GL around 3:45 AM on June 19.  Please note that 3:45 AM is within the prohibited driving hours for students with provisional licenses.
